this is hell. 10/10

(1 edit)

As a suggestions, I think it would be great if you could add a replay view when the player beats a level where it shows all the attempts at once similar to super meat boy.

This video illustrates what I mean in case you are not familiar with super meat boy:

Hi would you be interested in selling or sharing the source code for learning purposes?

It's really a fun game, well done :D

There's juste something that's bugging me : I noticed that you're using Godot Engine, and yet there isn't a Mac export :/

I tried but apparently you need a mac to export for it.

indirect call to null...

this could work really well on other platforms

really fun

very fun! satisfying to play and crispy level design throughout. my main criticism would be that the difficulty curve is a bit funky (lilypads in particular felt like quite a spike). i'm unsure if this is a bug or not, but sometimes i was able to jump off the lava(? the stuff that kills you when you touch it that you normally have to jump over) with a precisely timed boost

I lost so many times on lilypad that the game starting lagging 💀

i gave up on lillypads. let us skip lillypads. no other levels, just lillypads

Really fun, and original game design so fun, but lilypads is really difficult, i like the concept thought of progession.

smooth like butter controls, challenging yet fun gameplay.  Still cant beat those lilypads

Nice game!

Damn those lily pads tho.

Have you considered porting this game to Mobile? It could be a total banger!

(+2)

Loved the game! except lily pads.

(+1)

game is very fire, those lilypads took me at least 100 tries xD

uh...

Does opening the game in an incognito tab fix it?

incognito is disabled on my chromebook

It fixes the error for me (Chrome OSX)

Just the right amount of jumping and vibration makes the movement of the car lively and agile

Using retro pixel art style, simple colors, and 8 bit sound effects, it perfectly inherits the aesthetic experience of classical (?) video games

Crash, car marks, death close-ups are also dramatic, and the challenge is very fulfilling

I love your deciate game

Great game!  Was this inspired by "Oops! No Brakes" by TheJaspel?

The game feels great to play. The music/sound is phenomenal.
The one big criticism I have is that every time I beat a level, I was instantly thrown into the next one. I couldn't really be satisfied with beating a level because I was instantly given another challenge.

"wee, WEE, WEEE"

-me in dotted landing

I love the pixel art style and its fun to crash into walls. I'm stuck on one of the beginning levels but I'm sure if I keep on playing I'll be able to pass it!

I'm getting a "null function or function signature mismatch" error when I try and play in browser.

First of all, great game! Second of all, that juice is super good, it was hella' hard, but it was still satisfying.

Really nice game, nice pixel art with great juiceeee, a lot harder than i expected but still fun, really nice music btw !

Booted up the game, it said "null function or function signature mismatch"

A few people also got that error with my last game. I'm not sure what causes it but I'll keep trying to fix it.

Thanks

More like level editor and shit

Very nice game. quite challenging but enjoyable

(+1)

This is really fun! It starts as a driving challenge and quickly changes into a die-repeat precision platformer. It's quite difficult. I really liked the visual style.

(+1)

Quite a fun challenge. You really nailed the movement, it feels really good, both snappy and fluid. The levels are unique enough from each other that they don't feel overly repeatitive, although I wouldn't mind a couple more levels that just had driving.

Thanks, happy to hear that! Maybe I could add some extra levels...

Please do.

I just finished the desktop version, I enjoyed it a lot! The controls are excellent, and the mechanics are really fun (I love how jumping and walls work!) The one thing that frustrated me was that the game really requires you to plan ahead (especially with jumps, where you need to steer in midair so your car will face the direction of the next jump), and you can't see far enough forward to do that without intimately knowing the level layout. I think the game would really benefit from the ability to zoom out the camera.

Overall, really cool game, and I'm excited to see what else you make :)

I saw someone else comment that same thing and I do agree. I'll try to add that. Thanks for the kind words :)

fun game dont think i ran into any issues with the html version though

(+1)

Oooo. Thanks for playing it all the way through.

what number is the last level

(+2)

18.

damn

It's not that hard after like 300 deaths on lilypads

(+1)

I'm addicted to this

(+2)

I can confirm that if you die 600+ times in lilipads level, the game begins to have serious FPS issues :D

Really awesome game

Yeah, I probably should limit the drift and death markers. Glad you liked it :)
